Terms of Use
Last updated: April 29, 2026.
These terms govern your use of Confessor (the website at confessor.life). By using the site you accept these terms. If you do not accept them, please don’t use the site.
What Confessor is
Confessor is a web app that lets you converse with an AI persona designed to listen with empathy and respond with Bible-based reflection. It is operated as a small independent project. See the About page for the fuller description, including what Confessor is not.
Not professional advice
The pastor persona is generated by an artificial intelligence (Anthropic’s Claude). It is not a licensed clergy member, not a therapist, not a doctor, and not a lawyer. Replies are not medical, psychological, legal, financial, or sacramental advice. The AI may make mistakes, misquote Scripture, or miss the point of what you said. Treat any reply as a thought to consider, never as a decision to follow without the involvement of a real human you trust.
Crisis
If you are in danger or considering harming yourself or others, do not rely on Confessor. Call your local emergency line:
- United States — 988 (Suicide & Crisis Lifeline)
- United Kingdom — Samaritans, 116 123
- Israel — ERAN, 1201
- Europe (general) — 112
- Or contact a person you trust in your life directly.
Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old to use Confessor. By using the site you confirm you meet that requirement.
Acceptable use
Don’t use Confessor to:
- Harass, threaten, or harm others.
- Attempt to manipulate or jailbreak the AI to produce content that violates Anthropic’s usage policies (illegal content, hate, sexual content involving minors, instructions for harm, etc.).
- Scrape, automate, overload, or reverse-engineer the service.
- Submit information that doesn’t belong to you (e.g., confidential details about another person who hasn’t consented).
We may rate-limit, restrict, or refuse access to anyone misusing the service.
No warranty / no liability
Confessor is provided “as is,” without warranty of any kind. We make no promises about uptime, accuracy, appropriateness, or fitness for any particular purpose. To the maximum extent allowed by law, we are not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, consequential, or special damages arising from the use of Confessor — including any decision you make based on what the AI said.
Privacy
See the Privacy page. The short version: we don’t store the contents of your conversations.
Changes
We may update these terms over time. Material changes will be reflected on this page and the “Last updated” date will change. Continuing to use the site after a change means you accept the updated terms.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Israel. Any dispute that cannot be resolved informally will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of Tel Aviv.
